Miroike was launched in Berlin by Ramiro Calderon Alvarado and Ulrike Siedel in 2004. Both studied under Vivienne Westwood and graduated from the Berlin school of the Arts. The Miroike line has been recently seen at select retailers in the US! notablyWelcome Hunters in LA and King of Green Street in NYC. Miroike as a label creates small collections that challenge the traditinal conventions of shapes and contrast aptly titled by Siedel and Calderon as " Couture-à-Porter ".
For fall 2008 the capsule collection features great contrats details , innovative shapes and the most amazing boots I have seen in a while. Produced and created in Berlin Miroike has a commitment to quality and an aesthetic that has made them one of the most promising design talents in Berlin,a place whose individual fashion and edginess is well known to fashion insiders.
