Woolrich is showing some advance images of the limited edition 180th limited edition anniversary collection we showed a peek of a few months back from a visit to Project. It’s very much in step with the heritage/authentic vibe, which has been sweeping menswear in a big way for a while now. Nice that some of those companies are finally giving some love to the ladies. Look for at stores including Barney’s, Steven Alan, Ron Herman, and Gorsuch come August.

We featured Woolrich’s 180th Anniversary collection after we spotted it at Project way back in February. It looked good then and now that it’s been styled in a lookbook it looks even better. The one struggle is that after what seemed like the longest winter in the history of humankind, spring is here, the flowers are in bloom, and thus, it’s a tad tough to feel excited about woold coats! (And yet, how perfect is that green plaid maxi one in the middle??)

When it comes to authenticity and heritage, not too many brands have it over the 180-year old Woolrich. I’ve had this eye on this brand for a while so how delightful was it to see it’s offering a capsule collection collection for women, featuring the brand’s signature classic looks spruced up with jazzy cuts and fur trims. In celebration of its anniversary, there will be  a total of 180 pieces manufactured and only 60 will be sold in the United. No word yet on where they will retail.
