Chip & Pepper  Foster took the denim world by storm with their lineof  perfectly weathered vintage inspired denim   in 2003. Fueled by their passion of  denim and authenticity Chip & Pepper’s Autumn/Winter 2009 collection introduces  their signature silhouettes in new colors as well as edgier washes like the super bleached “Hot Sauce” and the ‘Nikki Martin”  in a very wearable red shade called Red Rover, that totally made me rethink red jeans. As much as I love the look of  some pre destroyed jeans , I also love the idea of  customizing them, tearing and ,bleaching  exactly where I want . My  denim choices often take me back to the originator, Levis. The 501 Boyfriend cut jeans are the perfect throw on anytime jeans, that give you room to truly make them your own.

On a side note Kanye west rocked a Levis denim jacket , to some runway shows. Looks like some of  his emulators, who too often dismiss Levis for newer, “cooler”  brands, will find themselves rummaging a thrift store bin to find one very soon. Don’t you just love the irony of trends and celebrity style…

In the past I have worked for one of the biggest names in denim which had for effect to make me somewhat of a denim geek, from cut and stiching  to durability and style ,It takes alot to Impress me..We won’t even talk about fit!Needless to say it takes alot more then a celebrity following to make a denim brand stand out…

Current Elliot ,designed by Emily Current and Meritt Elliot,gets kudos because they created  a line of denim  that is not necessarily "trendy" but reflects the classic inspiration of  what a pair of jeans should be. …The favorite,most comfortable thing to put on that  is  timeless and sexy…
