Urban Envy  aka  Miki Fujiwara was born in Japan and raised in San Francisco  Bay Area. Described as a pop artist we found her work to be   subtle and ballsy at the same time. Devoted to the  enhancing  the arts in  urban communities and changing the” images of  asian  women within  mainstream America”.Urban Envy is definitely Highsnobette approved!

One of the many talented  artists in the Younity that stood out to me was Lichiban, a native of Budapest, Lichiban paints and draws on a wide variety of mediums like wood above.A portrait of Sara White a NY artist/fashionista/writer.

Elizabeth Peyton is one of my favorite painters, her paintings always seem to reflect a certain softness and melancholy that I love. She is exhibiting until january 11 at the New Museum.
