Last night the good people at @Vansgirls hosted a quaint dinner at the the Ace Hotel’s Liberty Hall  to celebrate their bad ass collection with  musician and muse Jesse Jo,which you can see here. We had a chance to enjoy not only food and goodies but also a great  musical set by Jesse accompanied by our cool table mate guitarist extraordinaire Kirk Hellie . Needless to say the Snobettes were over the moon! On the next page a little peek at the ambiance. Collection launches November 1st.

We posted up the Vans x Jesse Jo lookbook earlier, and now actual product images. There’s a lot of regular stuff like denim jackets and crop tops, but I don’t know, something about these girly-boy undies makes me smile.

Vans teams up with musician and muse Jesse Jo on a second collection, featuring cut-offs, jean jackets, cropped tops, fanny pack, backpacks, sox and even boy undies. Jo has been labeled the anti-it girl and indeed she does fly under the radar, which is kind of a nice–leave a little room for some mystery for a change.

Vans reached out to Disney for a women’s collaboration and not surprisingly the young-at-heart (not to mention furry) Minnie Mouse was chosen to represent. Lord knows she deserves another pair of shoes in her closet besides those weird over-sized pink pumps she’s been wearing for basically ever. Now at least she’ll have something to change into after posing with tourists at the park all day. As for detailes, these are a Japan exclusive that will launch October 7th. Via Espionagekicks.

The first stop on Vans x WAH nails “Style Night Out” tour kicked off in London, last Thursday at the Vans Carnaby store, and we had HS reporter Phoebe Lovatt to cover the event. Twenty women were chosen by Vans to receive style makeovers by a team led by WAH Nails and Bleach London, with fashion provided by Vans. It’s a bit of a world tour so more “Style Night Out” events are planned for Amsterdam (July 19th), Berlin (July 20th) and Milan (July 21st). Vans continues down the path of world female sneaker domination, this time via a collaboration with Japanese-based X-Girl on a pair of sequin Sk8-Hi kicks. They’re available now though not so sure how easy they are to purchase outside of Japan.

We have to give propers to Vans, who lately seem to be making all the right moves when it comes to the ladies. Up until now the focus has largely been great collaborations on shoes, but we’re loving the latest endeavor–for a select group of women, a Milan style night, which will include image consultants plus the very awesome Wah Nails to provide manicures. We assume Wah is responsible for the design shown in the above poster, which, luv the drips over the trademark Vans checker board! Via Shedonism.

These Vans Hadley Lo kicks were customized with studs and other details by Medievel just for Hellz head designer, Lanie Alabanza. Post-makeover, the shoes have been deemed “Fvckboutin” (inspired obvs to some degree by Louboutins’s studded sneakers)  and they are about as sick as a shoe can be.

Vans is hooking up again with streetwear label Hellz on a second collaboration that includes 90s-inspired creepers (above), buckle boots, and bags. The interesting twist is that the launch party will take place at Vans flagship store in Manila (that’s in the Phillipines if you’re geographically challenged like me) later this month. Nice work, ladies!
