Hate to give Urban Outfitters props, but with that being said, it deserve with this slip dress, which I like to describe as a ruckus dress (or, if you prefer Beyonce’s term, freakum dress). What exactly is a ruckus dress? It’s one in which the sexy/flirty/feminine stars are so perfectly alligned that men who gaze upon it are basically reduced to staring and slobbering. So you walk into a room or down the street with this garment on and heads are gonna turn and comments are gonna be made. You are basically causing a ruckus wherever you go.

Not everyone has the stamina or self confidence to pull off wearing a ruckus dress, but those who do not only enjoy, but respect the power it brings.

I’ve been pissed off at Urban Outfitters for a minute now (mainly ’cause it used to be good, but a couple years back took a turn down Craptastic Lane, where it appears to be permanantly parked) so being the petty/spiteful person I can be, it’s hard for me to admit that the Free People portion of the company has been designing some pretty decent stuff ven if most of it boils down an everlasting Gobstopper variation on their ethnic-y, flow-y, layering piece-y theme. From the front, these Urban Outfitter panties are cute and sassy, but from the back they’re totally slutty, which, if you ask me, is one of the most potent, between-the-sheets (or on the floor) persona combos know to mankind. Kingdoms have fallen over women who have high expertise in working this part of their sexy.

But lemme just advise, hun, use this sort of get-down arsenal sparingly. Timing is everying. You can spring these on your mate once, maybe two times max. After that, they need to be retired. And listen when I tell you not to give in to wearing ‘em "just one last time." No matter how many times he begs, the answer is no!

While I have had it up to here with silhouettes of woodland creatures and birds used as a design feature, I fell in immediate love with this ice cream bar necklace, made for Nylon magazine by Lucas Design. There’s a lot of factors tugging at my heartstrings, starting with my longterm love affair with ice cream (and it helps that it’s finally starting to feel like ice cream season in New York), add in the purple sparkle and I’m reeled in hook, line and sinker!

Urban Outfitters. I don’t want to dwell on what has become of that chain in recent years. Like my Mom always said, "If you don’t have something nice to say…." Instead I’ll focus in on a pair of UO denim shorts that are pretty cool.

^^Urban Outfitters Lux Cult Classic shorts. The cut is higher, but it’s not that six-button, hi-waisted cut that sits so high on your torso that its skims the bottom of your boobies. These shorts provide a much-needed update, but one that’s chilled enough to rock in a wide variety of settings.
