Rap artist A$AP Rocky sits front row at the runway for Dior Couture Spring 2013, as photographed by Tommy Ton.  The Harlem rap artist was there in support of Dior designer Raf Simons who joined the label as creative director in April 2012, in replacement of John Galliano. Thus far, early read on the collection, shown today during Paris Fashion Week, has been largely positive.

To fashion savvy New Yorkers it’s an obvious fact that the fellas this summer have it all  over the ladies when it comes to dressing. While women are still messing around with their denim shorts (from day to evening even!) and languid tanks, guys are looks crisp and fresh and HOT. Commissioned by Nowness,  Tommy Ton followed Goldwyn to the vintage pop-up marketplace A Current Affair, which she hosted in Los Angeles, in order to capture the adept scout in action—and also snapped her at home, away from the collecting frenzy. “It is super competitive,” Goldwyn says of these events. “I’m like a hawk—there’s no time for chit-chat.” NOWNESS secured a private audience with Goldwyn, who gave us a master class on shopping strategy and revealed why most things come down to sex and history. Sweetly seductive is the jingling of a woman’s accessories, capturing her every move, however quiet. Staring at this image, one can almost hear the sounds they make in motion. Mentioned as a hot fall item on Elle back in March,  Tommy Ton recently captured them out and about. They’re designed by New York-base shoe designer Tania Spinelli for womenswear designer Jen Kao.

Individual style is something we love in these parts. Personally  I admire the discipline it takes  devellop it  . I call it discipline because on  my end I think I have a  like a  style attention deficit disorder, with plethora of   style references striving to find their place in my fashion repertoire: a flower child, world traveler, a rocker, a middle aged avant-garde  artiste( think Zoran or Yamamoto clad), a  wannabe charlie angel , a grown up sexy hybrid of Sharon Stone and Diana Ross  and let’s not forget ostentatious   over the top disco and sequins to name a few .Therefore women like Kate Lanphear’s whose style  discipline is always consistently flawless  make me pause in admiration.
