The opening look for Thierry Mugler Spring 2012 sets the tone for a slick modernist look by Fomichetti anchored on strong shoulders and sexy cut-out details . Lots more to come…
We’ve already shown some video of the Theirry Mugler extravaganza for Paris Fashion Week, featuring Lady Gaga walking the runway, and here are some shots of the featured fashion. Given how much higher the profile of this label is today versus pre-show/Gaga, does it really matter how the clothes looked? Via Coutequecoute.
Not the official video of the Thierry Mugler show, which took place yesterday during Paris Fashion Weeek, but the finale, with an appearance at the very end of Lady Gaga, walking with Nicola Formichetti. Get a little taste of her walk on the next page from an E News segment. She was impressive…as the host pointed out, other models–wearing lower heels–stumbled, while Gaga was flawless and all diva all day!
Six months into his role as creative director of Thierry Mugler, Nicola Formichetti will show his first ready-to-wear women’s collection (he debuted men’s in January) tomorrow during Paris Fashion Week. Titled ”Anatomy of Change,” it will livestream on the Thierry Mugler Facebook page at 3PM EST (9PM CET). The above video is a sort of stylistic preview and is part of a series of images Formichetti has been releasing in the lead up to the show. And the look is also in sync with some of the alien looks sported as of late by Formichetti’s favorite partner in crime, Lady Gaga.
Gaga will be lending a helping hand at the show by premiering her latest single, which her Monsters are speculating will be “Judas,” a song whose lyrics she released on Twitter last week. It’s not clear whether she will sing live at the show. She debuted a remix of “Born This Way” at the January show, but didn’t perform it live.
[UPDATE: Thecut informs that the Monsters are dead wrong....Gaga will be performing a song titled "Government Hooker," not "Judas." And she'll be walking the show! Will she sing and walk at the same time? We shall soon see.]
