Definitely a visual treat, the BOFFO x The Lake & Stars Pop-up shop designed by Softlab takes the lingerie labels seductive aesthetic to sleek futuristic levels. Walking into the space, you’re greeted by a giant screen tv playing a pole  performance with the Lake & Stars-clad dancers and tucked along one side of the room is a mini shop set up  like sci-fi peep show. A peek into various plexi-glass windows gives you access to  mannequins wearing iconic TL&S  lingerie while throughout the shop are items designed exclusively for the event, including voodoo candles, magnets and various other gift items. We mentioned a collaboration between Nike and The Lake & Stars on an Air Force 1 style last week, and now we have the brand’s designers, Nikki Dekker and Maayan Zilberman, flashing the outcome of their efforts. The shoe is the first Air Force one to feature the collaborative brand’s name on the strap and features black suede on black canvas, with green soles and silver tipping. It’s available by special order in both women’s and men’s sizes and for those who’d like a more hands-on look, the shoe is currently on display in the window of The Lake & Stars pop-up shop, which opened at Walker Street in New York, yesterday and will be open through November 23rd.

Via Refinery we learn lingerie brand The Lake & Stars is collaborating with Nike on an Air Force I, which has to be on some top-ten list in terms of unexpected partnerships. In this image, one of the The Lake & Stars designers is working with Nike employee Weston on choosing the color and detailing for the custom pair so it’s highly unlikely that you’re seeing the finished shoe as opposed to a an office sample used to work against in building the collaboration.

The shoe is being built for the The Lake & Stars pop up store, which is set to launch on November 10th. The slight hitch with the pop-up we learned from Racked yesterday, is the sponsoring organization, BOFFO, used up all it’s money on Nicola Formichetti’s pop up and may not have enough cash to do any more pop ups. One hopes it all works out–wanna see the sneakers!

Refinery29 has the latest lookbook for The Lake & Stars Spring 2011 offerings, which is quite a departure from the eye-popping ’70s porn themes of the last lookbook. Inspired by religous cults, the latest one isn’t as fun and the budget seems lower, but oh well, better that the brand keeps it moving than dwell on the past. On this page and after the flip are straight shots of the product, whose theme remains the same–retro-naughty garments, which in many cases work as well as outerwear as lingerie, thanks to modern fabrics and details. The lookbooks may change, but the garments remain perfect for all the high IQ sex queeens who love to flaunt their stuff.  

The Lake & Stars, one of our hands down favorite lingerie labels, presents their signature frill-less sexy lingerie for autumn/winter 2010. We all know that The Lake & Stars is a hot lingerie line, but did you know that the name comes from Victorian-era slang for a woman who knows how to put it on a man between the sheets? That just cracks me up, especially since I thought people barely even HAD sex during that era! And then how do you use it in a sentence? "Yo M’lady, thouest be the lake AND the stars!" LOL. Funny.

I didn’t put them here because I have personal issues with any clothing that features ribbons. Too prissy for me, but to each her own.
