Todd Oldham joins forces with Target to create the “Kids Made Modern” arts and crafts collection, launching May 20th. It’s inspired by Oldham’s book by the same name and includes printed-duct tape, a 64-color crayon, a “Moon Rock” jewellery kit (one of 5 or 6 kinds) and a comicbook kit <–(so awesome), and a watercolor pallette with artist-quality pigments, plus more.

Target has restocked some of its Missoni collaboration sweaters and a few are even on sale. The one on the left is marked down to $34.99 and the one of the right is now $27.99. Take that all you Ebay mark-up lunatics!

No doubt in a quest to get back some of the cool cachet the chain is viewed in the industry as losing over the past few years, Target has announced that it is lauching a concept called ”The Shops At Target,” which will import the look and merchandise of various boutiques into the big box chain’s doors.

The “The Shops At Target” launches May 6th, and according to Fashionfoisgras so far include The Candy Store in San Francisco, Cos Bar cosmetics shop in Aspen, Polka Dog Bakery’s dog accessories, Privet House home products in Connecticut, and The Webster in Miami. Not sure what the set up will be or what Target stores will be partnering but will be interesting to watch.

Though some of the blouses might end up being a little scary as it relates to the quality of fabric Target is likely to go with, overall this is a sweet collection that the fashion obsessed should enjoy.

T Magazine gets the scoop on first images from Target’s collaboration with Jason Wu and so far it looks quite good. The dress is trend perfect for spring and the bag has to be plastic but nonetheless is pretty darn handsome. An extra bonus is that Jason Wu is barely known outside of fashion circles which means you might have a fighting chance at buying some of the collection without standing in line in front of some god-foresaken, big box store–even if it is Target, like I ever had it in me to do that.

Here’s a quote on the collection described as “gamine chic” from the article:

“Pleated frocks with sailor-striped hemlines, dainty silk blouses with neck ties and collars, and sportier knits and tennis skirts stand out as some of the line’s most wearable pieces.”

Look for it in the usual Target stores on February 5th.

Back in October we had heard through sources that Target was desperately trying to refill some of the Missoni items that essentially vaporized after they were lauched. The trick was, Target wanted them by holiday, making it an impossible feat for a lot of suppliers. But it looks like some were able to meet the breakneck turnaround time, though even since we looked last night a lot has already sold out again. Still, as we type, the bicycle–one of our faves–is still available here.

That being said, the site itself remains as slow and stodgy as ever, sort of like e-tail 2001 with pages hung up and whatnot, making for an entirely unfun online shopping experience.

The Target x Harajuko line has hit stores and is now available on line and it’s pretty adorable. This type of children’s clothing has always been available in boutiques but it’s a bit of a first for this look to be offered at a big box chain with the extra bonus of having Gwen Stefani’s name attached to it. (On another note my computer isn’t the fastest but check and see if you don’t find the site to be laboriously slow!)
