Visits to Capsule always include a visit to Moon Spoon Saloon’s booth and a chat with the charming Maria, who exemplifies the fun spirit of the brand. As usual the line features eye-catching pieces in a wide range of funky silhouettes and hues. This season the purple, aqua and black pieces were a favorite. The Nicholas K Spring/Summer 2012 stays true to the labels modern urban aesthetic with asymetrical layers, covetable outerwear and separates for men and women . The closing blue dress is simply a dream come true. Enjoy!

This skirt by Ezra+ Tuba stopped us  in our tracks while we were checking out th4e Rendez-Vous trade show in New York, earlier this week. Worn with a simple tee and sandals this is a leather skirt to have (at least in our humble opinion). Created in  Instanbul by  sisters Ezra  and Çetin Tuba  the line exemplifies womanly glamour  at its best, even reflected in the lovely team of ladies representing the brand clad in heels, keeping the fierce until the end of the show.

One of our faves designers Mriga Kapadiya and Amrit Kumar’s Nor Black Nor White label features their signature use of handwoven fabrics with rich colors and the introduction of silk fringed  separates that have us swooning. One of the most sought  after designers in Taiwan Jasper Juang has wooed us with his ability to take make a  pair of silk pants as exquisitely glamorous as a ball gown. Titled “Dancer in Temple,” his Spring/Summer 2012 collection is  filled with color and glamour.  On the next page, the designer’s “Painting Series,” comprised of Juang’s own custom prints applied on clothing.  Twoin is a new collection by New-York based twin designers Iku and Nori. For Spring/Summer  2012 the twin’s playful approach to clothing blends  nautical details with army navy surplus and prairie flowers. What to wear in the scorching heat? If you take a cue from the desert bedouins , keeping cool is more about loose layers and natural fibers than it is about tight and body conscious. Anything synthetic honestly will have you sweating bullets. Victoria Spruce’s sculptural footwear made us stop and admire. The Royal College alum was recently was  the focus of  an Njal feature, in which she shared her thoughts on design and life.
