In an ad featuring actress Leighton Meester (check her at 00:49), Missoni makes the most of its color and geometrics in a video that’s fun, artsy and inclusive.

We have our hands on images from Uniqlo’s + J  Spring/Summer 2011 collection, which will be in stores January 25th. The clear leaders of the offerings are outerwear with some very smart trenches (though you will pay a price, the one shown above is $229), as well as super trend-right parkas perfect for the transition from winter to spring. After that it’s very much hit or miss. Uniqlo has made it’s name on basics, but at least at the SoHo store, it seems lately the women’s side is missing the mark and the offerings shown here don’t seem to be pointing in directions otherwise.  Decide for yourself and view the entire collection on the next page.

Here are some early images from Lanvin’s Spring/Summer ad campaign….we think anyway, as there isn’t a lot of accompanying info in terms of models or photographer. In any case, the images are gorgeous and have a neat vintage feel to them that speaks to the 70s period that inspired the fashion. Note how the furniture fabrics–velvet, fur, sheepskin, are also consistent with current trends and speak to the brand’s Autumn offerings. Via Fashioncopious. Three more images on the next page.

Enjoy a look at London’s Shao Yen Chen Spring 2011 film, titled “Skin.” Inspired by the human body, the collection plays with concept of the body as clothes, challenging anatomy  by  contrasting textures and volume. Chen, a recent winner of the Fashion Weekend/Le Vif Award in Brussels, 2009, is a name to remember. View some stills of the collection on the flip.
