The duo of Azumi and David also known as A n D, created a Spring collection titled “Work Play,” interpreting  everyday office items into jewellery and accessories. The extensive assortment features unisex apparel, pen necklaces, paper clip belts, phone cord earrings and the introduction of the Kelly Heel bag. BAPE shows us its Spring 2011 lookbook for the “ladies,” as it slowly but surely brings its women’s game back up to speed. Looks range from tomboyish to flirty, with the strength of the line being the sportier styles that better speak to the brand’s street heritage. More on the next page.

Emergent Italian label Il Sistema Degli Oggetti (named after the book “System of Objects” by philosopher Jean Baudrillard) gives us a look at its Spring 2011 line, which press describes as “completely hand-made in Italy, but with a contemporary and international spirit, for a man and a woman who like to talk to each other.”  Women’s is featured here, but the trio behind the label, Caterina Coccioli, Alessandro Manzi and Anna Lottersberger, design for men as well, and it was recently chosen by Vogue Italia as the most promising up-and-coming menswear line.

Fashionising highlights the lace-up, suede Pucci boots that had us drooling during the Spring 2011 shows. Truely, if there were a sicker boot or shoe shown on the runway that season, we didn’t see it.

Club Monaco gives us a peak of Spring 2011, which is part of the trend I like to describe as the J-Crewization of retail. More Mickey Drexler-inspired looks after the flip.
