80%20 @ FFANY

06 June 2008, 17.19 | Posted in Fashion, Shoes | No comments »

Ce Ce Chen, founder and designer for 80%20 (inspired by the theory that 20 percent of wardrobe is worn 80 percent of the time) is one of those females that’s beloved around these parts. She’s smart, creative, a total go-getter, not to mention a cutie from the inside out. She was showing her fall 2008 line at FFANY and here are some of the highlights (she didn’t show her riding boot style ’cause it’s already sold out!):

^^The hidden wedge that’s her signature with Western details that are going to make this boot perfect for fall.

NoMass @ FFANY

05 June 2008, 17.01 | Posted in Accessories, Fashion, Shoes | No comments »

Next up from my visit to FFANY is NoMass, a brand-spanking new men’s and women’s shoe line. I had no introduction to this company other than I passed their suite (one part of the show was held in hotel rooms at the New York Hilton) and their shoes caught my eye. Unlike almost everyone else at the show, they were actually taking some chances!

Here was my fave, no surprise part of it is white and features patent leather!:

^^I wanna say this one is called Raine. The line launches in the fall (though I think this one is spring 2009) and I’m told you should be able to purchase it on Zappos.

^^Don’t know the name of these, but they are super fun and a perfect denim match up.

The shoes will be priced from $75 to $135 and they’re leather-lined!

Glory Chen @ FFANY

05 June 2008, 16.08 | Posted in Fashion, Shoes, Stores | No comments »

It’s been a busy week for me. Yesterday I put in some time at FFANY, a New York shoe show. Not much stood out, but there were a few things. First up, Glory Chen, a brand that on Sunday up a store in SoHo at 121 Greene Street. These shoes are perfect for that mature, designed-minded female who is over being trendy, but still wants to stand out, albeit in a more subtle/clever manner:

Chanel Resort 2009

16 May 2008, 19.44 | Posted in Accessories, Fashion, Shoes | No comments »

Chanel is such an on-fire brand these days that no doubt images from its Resort 2009 show are all over the web (it helps that it was in Miami and it got all-the-usual-suspect celeb attendance), but oh well, even though I may be late, here are a few items I appreciated. And then one look I’m not so sure about!

ChaelResortLogoDress Chanel Resort 2009

^^Look at the logo. Karl is FEELING himself and the Chanel name and no doubt enjoying rubbing it in his competitor’s faces that the double C’s are one of the last logos left standing that the cool girls are not only willing, but happy to flaunt front and center. If "Breakfast at Tiff’s" were being filmed today, this dress would be a fine choice for Audrey.

Two more if you click to the right!

Vans Vault Spring ‘08 Collection – Color Theory

03 January 2008, 14.01 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

Vans Vault Spring '08

Vans presents their new Vault Spring 2008 range, with the theme “Color Theory”. The new collection presents sneakers in a variety of colors and textures, inspired by art and the counter-culture movement of skateboarding and surfing. Stylistic simplicity, designer textiles and patterns make their way onto the Vans classics.

The collection as usual has some strong pieces in it. We also enjoy very much the wide range of simple sneakers without designs or patterns.

Check out the complete Vans Vault Spring 2008 collection after the jump.
