Alexander Wang bags arrived at Opening Ceremony last week and this week it’s the shoes. Always it’s interesting to see what is shown on the runway versus what makes it into stores. It seems the fur puff sandals shown above look even better (and fluffier) than they did on the runway.

Victoria Spruce’s sculptural footwear made us stop and admire. The Royal College alum was recently was  the focus of  an Njal feature, in which she shared her thoughts on design and life. We visited Catherine Malandrino’s showroom last week and got a look-see at both her Malandrino and Catherine Malandrino lines. Designer Malandrino’s talent, which we appreciate greatly, is her ability to design garment after garment that subtly celebrates the power of grown-woman sexiness. The designs are complex yet somehow still easy and relaxed. While there, we snapped images of the shoes and some of the accessories for Autumn 2011. Malandrino takes some very current silhouettes, but makes them special with braided leather. Alexander Wang’s love affair with metallic shine continues with his Autum 2011 collection, started as it did with the apricot lame strips that he showed on bottoms for Spring 2011 . In this post we focus on his shoes and accessories for as much as Downtown girlies lust for every iota of his collections, it’s his shoes and especially his bags that they will murder to own. As bags size down, Wang makes his practically miniature with the two shown above the biggest of the bunch. Both are adorable, but it’s the mini-foxtails that make them next level and 100 percent covetable. On the next page, see his fur sunglasses, caped-crusader (or mudflat) sandals and some open-toe quilted boots that you will either love or despise, no in between. And there’s also a pic of Wang himself, flaunting his shiny locks and looking very much like the Downtown sneaker head we hear he is.  Via.

What a better way to show your love for shoes than wearing them around your neck? A whole lot of them in bright colors, looking like candy making us love Tom Binns even more.This is a want! Available at Moss.

The partnership with Indian designer Aki Narula and Puma was announced in June of last year (very smart move on Puma’s part to give a nod to India and its growing middle class) and now we’re getting a closer look at the products, which aren’t on-line yet but should be soon (though if you like the Kenhinde Wiley X Puma looks we featured a while back, those are now on sale). Love the shoes, especially the ones on the left. The curve on that stacked heel is just so flavorful and  speaks to the Indian roots of the designer.
