Looks like the nail art trend we’ve been all over since forever is really starting to blow up (which, I can’t lie–somehow makes me a little sad, ya hear me devotees?), with Sephora recently announcing it will add nail art bars to its New York and San Francisco locations later this month. The chain is partnering with Xpres Spa, (known for its airport nail salons), to run the nail art studios, where customer can get their nails did.

We get a thorough look at the product images from the Hello Kitty for Sephora collaboration, plus details on the offerings from blogger Temptalia, who as a VIP customer for the chain also was able to pre-order the collection, a lot of which is already sold out.  The collection goes on sale to everyone in mid-January and it includes make-up, fragrance, brushes, mirrors, blotter paper and even a shower cap! In the comments section of Temptalia’s blog, there’s a lot of debate as to how this collection stacks up against Hello Kitty’s collaboration with MAC cosmetics, with some opining that this one scews a lot younger, which, given the success of its collabo with Tokidoki, one would have to guess that was Sephora’s exact intent! Earlier today we posted up exclusive images and video from the Tokidoki X Sephora event and in this post are product shots of the items featured in the collection. Just look at how cute this mascara is! Given the uniqueness of the packaging combined with the quality of the offerings, you have to think this collabo is going to be a hit for Sephora.

After Magic we showed ultra-exclusive previews of the Tokidoki X Sephora collaboration.  Back then we didn’t have many more details than what was included in the product line. But now we have an official date:  Thursday, April 22nd! Sephora describes the collection as “criminally cute beauty.” Start hording your pennies, ladies!

UPDATE: The line is actually already available for sale at Sephora. April 22nd is the press event, where will be snapping tons of images.

As always I stopped by Magic’s Pool show to check in with one of my industry faves, Tokidoki Designer, Simone Legno. He had a lot going on but was most excited about an upcoming collaboration with Sephora on a comsmetics line, which will feature a huge array of eye liners, eye shadows, bronzers and brushes. The colors are amazing, as you can see from some of the very uniquely packaged eye shadows featured above.
