I’m at Magic in Vegas so I’m going to keep this short, but loved these glowy shoes Rodarte showed at NY Fashion Week. They’re futuristic, but somehow still warm and fuzzy, just like Rodarte! Maybe post-apocalypse won’t be so bad after all.

Photog Tommy at Jak&Jil almost passed out upon spying these. Thank god he grabbed the shot before falling to his knees. We truly are in an amazing period of design for footwear. Soak it all in fashion devotees, it won’t last forever!

Yesterday,while hanging out in soho, Liz and I both marveled at the beauty of the Rodarte Knit Fishnets.The Mulleavy sisters are so creatively ahead of the pack it’s refreshing! nonetheless,the look and craftmanship  comes with a cost But, Tiffany from Six six sick girls was able to make her own version !

All I have to say is awesome!

The Rodarte collection as shown at NY Fashion week had my heart soaring last week and I did a post featuring some backstage photography, which can be found here. I meant to post some images from the show but got a little busy. Yes, I’m late, but the show is deserving.

^^The only issue being that there are few that have the presence of personality to pull off wearing this.

In looking around at everyone’s coverage of NY Fashion Week, I stumbled across fashion photographer Sonny’s coverage of the Rodarte show. And all I could think was, wow, how’d I miss this?? The shoes, the leggings(!), the dresses(!!). I mean, you know how sometimes you see something and your eye feels a little startled and you get that butterfly feeling of excitement ’cause you know you’re seeing something that is a glimpse of what’s next? That’s how Rodarte’s collection felt. And their  leggings? Everyone else’s just officially got left in the dust.
