In her video premiere of “We Found Love,” Rihanna with co-star Dudley O’Shaughnessy perfectly play out the role of the tempestuous young couple, speeding through life at 100 mph with the crash inevetible but the lifetime of yearning memories oh-so-worth all the pain. Never let it be said that Rihanna has a fear of fire with the multiple screaming/fighting car scenes not to mention O’Shaughnessy’s appearance certain to draw repeated comparisons to her most famous and controversial ex.

Not sure why she’s there, but Rihanna was recently spotted in London and Dublin in denim jeans, which she paired with an Alexander Wang bomber and lace up boots (above) one day and houndstooth pumps (next page) the next day. Her shades remained unchanged.

After teasing with a couple of overly-short videos Armani comes with the full video, featuring Rihanni wriggling into the brand’s lingerie and denim. Worth a watch because it’s beautifully shot by Steven Klein, as well because of her own extensive music video background Rihanna has mastered the art of the sly glance not to mention the sexy swish. This all plays against Rihanna’s song “Skin,” which couldn’t be more perfect.

Even if her handkerchief bikini had a down-on-the farm appeal to it, the owner of the Irish farm who was initally okay with Rihanna filming her “We Found Love” video on his land changed his mind once he caught a look at the action. And in the end…..no harm, no foul. According to the farmer,

“‘I had my conversation with Rihanna and I hope she understands where I’m coming from. We shook hands.” 

On Rihanna’s Twitter page she doesn’t mention the incident except to express dismay that’s she being described as fat in the images from the video. Though a couple of days before the event went down, she does seem to foreshadow it (or maybe her whole life in general) with a quote from Dr. Seuss: “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”

Loving the single art for Rihanna’s next single, “We Found Love.” Her look is very British (with perhaps her up-do a nod to the late Amy Winehouse?), no doubt a reflection of the singer and songwriter featured on the single, Scottish-born Calvin Harris.

Armani just posted its first ad, featuring Rihanna for it jeans campaign. Luv the hair! And the denim is highwaisted–interesting! Will need some time to digest but so far, it gets a thumbs up.

Esquire names Rihanna the “Sexiest Woman of 2011″….though we must say on an ironic note, they managed to promote that fact with  a video that achieves the almost impossible–making Rihanna seem decidedly not sexy!
