At this point, we at Highsnobette , really believe that  Rihanna should  be on the cover of Vogue, not that  the magazine is the end  all be all , but we all know  that Vogue is an iconic publication . If  Blake Lively was able to score the honor, Rihanna deserves it equally, if not more. Having a great stylist is one thing, but being able to pull-off   high-end clothing  and street-wear  flawlessly requires a certain “‘je ne sais quoi”, and we think she has “it”. Rihanna was recently spotted in New York, and gave a shout to kick-loving-chicks everywhere with her hightop Nikes. She’s also sporting the Schott X Jeremy Scott “Perfecto” jacket, whose graphic was inspired by-obvs–the wondrous Keith Haring (r.i.p.).  Ma looks great as always, but I when I look at her ‘doo, I can’t help but think of that classic Cam Diaz hair kerfluffle from “Something about Mary”!

Rihanna showed up at the Costume Institute Gala in NYC last night in this gender bending Dolce & Gabbana. With ’80’s power bitch shoulder pads and a cropped length on the pant it is definitely a fashion risk. What do you all think? Hit or Miss?

Whimsical and decadent, their line is is what girlie girl dreams are made of. For Spring they present us with plenty of their signature corsets as well as cocktail dresses in cotton candy colors that are just dripping in sequins, feathers, and other delicious embellishments. Rihanna was spotted recently house-hunting in Los Angeles. Check out the studded lapel on her blazer, which features the latest in angular, yet still oh-so-subtle shoulder pads. I love how she hooked it up with a pair of rolled-up boyfriend shorts. And you can’t see in these shots, but she was sporting a pair of sky-high heels. As for RihRih’s new doo, not only cute, but hmmm, when us women change up our hair style dramatically, what’s that usually a sign of?

Rihanna made her first very public appearance since the incident, chowing down recently at DaSilvano, a known N.Y. paparaZzi hot spot. A night later she belatedly celebrated her birthday with Uncle Jay and Aunt Beyonce.

Those of us who love fashion down to our bones know that it’s so much more than just garments on bodies. For those that posess the key, it can be used to entertain, intrigue, send hidden messages, and sometimes, as in the images we’re seeing here, provide us refuge from the chaos.
