As an hommage to French workers, designer Sakina M’sa partners with Puma to bring a slick bright blue grip bag made from re-purposed workers overalls:

Designer Sakina M’Sa has unveiled a version of Puma’s Grip Bag made from recycled blue workers’ overalls that is being launched in a limited edition of 100 worldwide. Paris concept store Merci, which hosted a brunch today to celebrate the launch, will sell 10 of the bags priced at 350 euros, or $475 at current exchange. “I was interested in telling our story through this bag,” said M’Sa, whose company offers work opportunities for the long-term unemployed. The designer, who was born in the Comoros Islands and moved to France as a young girl, was one of three recipients of the Social Entrepreneurs Awards handed out by parent company PPR’s Foundation for Women’s Dignity and Rights in 2010.

Puma via Rakuten offers a “Super Tribal” hightop for the ladies, which uses a few different details to create an earthy appeal, including over-sized stitching, plus textured fabric details and fruity colors. Totally fell in love with these “Bound Mid Fur” sneakers by Puma and its collaboration with Alexander McQueen. The  fur ankle detail, which we are smitten with,  is removable. While  Autumn 2011 was the last Puma collaborations McQueen had personally been involved with, the team at Puma has kept  a partnership with the fashion house to continue creating collections. The partnership with Indian designer Aki Narula and Puma was announced in June of last year (very smart move on Puma’s part to give a nod to India and its growing middle class) and now we’re getting a closer look at the products, which aren’t on-line yet but should be soon (though if you like the Kenhinde Wiley X Puma looks we featured a while back, those are now on sale). Love the shoes, especially the ones on the left. The curve on that stacked heel is just so flavorful and  speaks to the Indian roots of the designer.

WWD  recently announced that Puma and Sergio Rossi are collaborating on a capsule footwear collection Inspired by the "clyde".By the looks of this Mary-Jane looks like it will be another match in fashion heaven for Puma!

The things sneaker companies are designing for the babies these days. Just crazy. Back when my kid was a wee one the ONLY cool baby sneakers were Jordans. Now Boo-Boo can have a collection as good as his Mom or Dad! These Puma First Round Deer hightops are available now on Overkill and they are off they are, in a nutshell, off the hinges.

Puma is linking arms with recent project runway winner, Christian Siriano, to design a 15 piece line. The collaboration was kicked off at a party that was also celebrating British singer Estelle’s CD release. In the image below she’s wearing a dress designed by Mr. Fierce < ----(is he gonna live and die by that tag or what???). Will this collabo give Puma a much-needed injection of fashion that Stella gave Adidas? I kinda don't think so, but we'll see.

The outfit was put together by ripping apart and reconstructing some Puma tops and bottoms. The dress is fine, but she could lose the necklace thinger. And check out Christian. He’s wearing a Puma sweater, but what about his sneakers??
