Project MVMNT Introduces Street Hearts
While most streetwear brands shun the term, there is no denying that the sartorial culture of the inner city has a special flavor and place in the fashion world. From athletic themes to punk revival, grunge and everything in between the influence of such brands can be seen all over fashion. To address the growing interest in streetwear, Advanstar has launched Project MVMNT. According to press:
“Project MVMNT is taking an entirely new approach to showcasing youth culture,” says Kenny Mac, show director. “By creating expertly merchandised segments we are supplying brands and buyers with an experience that’s ahead of the curve and filled with resources.
While this is all very cool, our favorite part of this initiative is “Street Hearts,” a space in the show devoted to some of the fiercest in ladies street wear like Lani of Hellz Bellz, Melody Ehsani, Linda and Tammy of Love Made as well a Coco & Breezy. Stay tuned for our coverage of the show next week!
