After a successful collaboration  for the film adaptation of Romeo & Juliet in 1996, Miuccia Prada will once again design costumes for  Baz Luhrman’s  upcoming film  The Great Gatsby. As a teaser of what is to come,  U.S.Vogue’s  September issue features  40 dresses from  Prada and Miu Miu’s archives that  have been selected for  the film. We’re already excited! Oh my Prada! In time for The Costume Institute exhibit “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversation,” set to open on May 10th, the brand announced that it will be reissuing “greatest hits” among a collection of handbags from 1991 to 2005 in honor of this historical moment for its iconoclastic designer Miuccia Prada. No need to cross your fingers and hope the coveted 1991 velvet satin flap or the 2005 floral clasp purse hit your luxe consignment store anymore! Only available in the Manhattan stores as a bonus to perhaps satiate exhibit viewers when exploring Miuccia’s mind simply doesn’t provide enough Prada for one day.Via Elle.-Rika N.

Visited the Prada shop in SoHo, New York, last week; don’t recall a time when the store looked better–room after room of delicious clothes and shoes–check out the adorable slip-on sandals above I snapped while there. Surely the brand’s Spring 2012 collection will go down in history as one of Miucca’s greats.
