In conjunction with the promo-machine for Sex and the City, stylist for the movie, Pat Field, showed a House of Field collection of swimsuits yesterday, the day after the premire for the movie. The display included both manequins and live models and took place at Hudson Terrace with the good ole Empire State Building serving as a beautiful backdrop.

Given Malcolm McClaren’s recent passing, there’s something fitting about these recently-launched winged sandals designed by Malcolm’s old pal Vivienne Westwood, in collaboration with Melissa. Perhaps Malcolm flew to heaven in these. Available at Patricia Field.

Phillip & David Blond AKA The Blonds are known in Hollywood for creating corsets for the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry, Christina Aquilera, and Britney Spears (check out the outrageous star covered number in the insert of her latest album). Whimsical and decadent, their line is is what girlie girl dreams are made of. For Spring they present us with plenty of their signature corsets as well as cocktail dresses in cotton candy colors that are just dripping in sequins, feathers, and other delicious embellishments. Known for her creative costume design on some of the most infamously fashion conscious movie and TV sets (”Sex and the City” anyone?), Patricia Field landed her self the gig as the head honcho of the fashion department for the movie “Shopaholic.” To celebrate the release of the film Patricia has offered us a “Shopaholic Style” section on her web shop. The look above is by far my favorite but I have a feeling you will all go gaga for the accessories, which range from vintage heart-shaped sunglasses to neon clutches. If you have the opportunity you should head to the House of Field shop in the Bowery district of New York. The staff is super friendly and I have yet to resist walking out without dropping some serious dough.

On one of the many road trips we took in College I remember a particular one, where Twah,  our resident fashionista took the wheel ,and  rocked a sleek pair of driving gloves,I remember thinking how cool! There is something very chic and glamourous  about it…

So Yes I did see Sex and the City and I have to say that Patricia Field has done it again!! The looks were Hot!

Nevertheless for as much as SJP gets press for her charming role she does have the sasyness to pull off Ms. Fields creations .The clothes were cool but it’s really the way they are put together that makes it so special….Honestly you can buy all the pieces but you have to have to spunk to pull it off and make it look natural…

I really would like to see more press and interviews of Patricia Field I dunno if she’s reluctant to be in the glitz or if the mainstrean press thinks she’s just not mainstream… Altough you cannot Get More Mainstream….,I mean the woman has Re-adapted trends!! How many out there who used to think gold necklaces with their names on it belonged to brooklyn gals or uptown chicas…ran to get their little name plate necklaces  when Carrie rocked it….

Now It’s all about the Studded Belt Rockers/punks & cool kids have been rockin’ for ages…
