Opening Ceremony and Alex Wang are going to conduct some retail experimentation by making some of the items from Wang’s recently shown Spring 2011 collection available for presale from October 25th through November 1st.  A handful of other brands will also be available (including those crazy Jeremy Scott plushie sneakers!) Opening Ceremony recently called on the Acne staff to pick their favorite items from the fall collection. Jordan, pictured here, chose Acne’s Davi leather pants. Love them with the white lace-up boots! Two more views after the flip.

After Alex Wang, this is the one other NY Fashion Week show we were waiting for, and Opening Ceremony, which will be streaming the entire show shortly, just gifted up this sneak preview of the finale!!

Opening Ceremony’s fall lookbook is online and layering is a key part of the styling. With a mish-mosh of lengths and textures the look remains new bohemian, updated with fabrics like velour, fur and lace. I can’t layer to save my life (especially dichotomous layering when one pairs a flowery summer frock with a fur coat), but I do like the furry shoes, especially the ones featuring peep toes!

As signature a look as the Chanel quilt, newly available at Opening Ceremony. Question, if Alex were a contestant on Project Runway, would he be eliminated for showing a lack of ability to innovate? “We know he can design with stretch cotton, but if I see one more sweatshirt dress I’m gonna puke!” (Sorry, just watched a marathon of the Jeffrey Sebalia season, in which the judges repeatedly lambasted Laura Bennett for her excessive use of plunging necklines.)

Becoming the Target of even-cooler-designer collabos, Opening Ceremony serves up yet another partnership with a series of rope-soled, platform oxfords, designed with French footwear designer Robert Clergerie.

Two heavy hitters, designer Alex Wang and retailer Opening Ceremony have come together on a tote bag, which features Alex’s signature bottom-stud detail. For those of you who are dying for an Alex statement piece, but can’t lay out the multiple hundreds, this tote is $125 and offered with either silver or gold studs.
