AnnaWintourBySaulZanoiAri Anna Wintour By Artist Saul Zanolari

Artist Saul Zanolari presents his take on how Vogue Editor Anna Wintour appears to him–with spotted hair taking orders at a McDonald’s drive through!  He captures her eyes quite nicely though it’s her horned hat that intrigues. Zanolari uses a combination of photography, painting and digital art to create his work. On the next page, a Zanolari’s portrait of Naomi Campbell. Via Mocoloco.

Dolce & Gabbana Naomi Tee Shirts For Fashion Night Out

04 September 2010, 00.06 | Posted in FASHION WITH A CONSCIENCE, celebrity, photography | 3 comments »

In conjunction with Fashion Night Out, Dolce & Gabbana are making a bunch of limited edition tees featuring Naomi as photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Klein, David LaChapelle, etc, etc, basically all the greats. Naomi will be signing the tees (though I’d rather she signed my Blackberry) at the Dolce & Gabbana store on Madison Avenue. Then the tees will be rolled out to D&G stores worldwide, with proceeds going to Naomi’s fave legal-defense-fund, I mean charity. And like I said last week, I’m finding myself more than ever overwhelmed by this stupid “FNO” event!  Next year, I guarantee, Wal-mart, Payless and all that ilk will be in on it, too, and it’s going to be one giant, meaningless mess, which it sort of is already. Alex McQueen Funeral

26 February 2010, 21.24 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Alex McQueen FuneralAlexander McQueen’s funeral was held yesterday at Saint Paul’s Church in London. It was a private funeral, attended only by family and close friends, which included Naomi, Kate Moss, and Stella McCartney. According to the Daily News, “Members of the family wore McQueen tartan, which the designer draped across much of his 2006 ”Highland Rape” fashion show.” Very sad day for those who loved him.

And image of Daphne Guinness after the flip.

KateMossBody Loves Magazine: Body Conscious Series Featuring Kate & Naomi

Love’s magazine has done several different series featuring very cutting edge (or naughty depending on your maturity level) photos of some of the industry’s biggest models. The latest features Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as photographed by Mert Allas and Marcus Piggot. The image on this page is one of the least racy and features Kate Moss’s legs in a pair of Louboutins. The photos are amazing as is the level of intimacy revealed.

Be warned, should you click on the link, the page will feature a LOT of nudity. Source: FashionGoneRogue.

Dsquared² Finally Does Sunglasses!

highsnobette-dsquared sunglasses

Surprisingly, Canadian line Dsquared² has yet to do a collection of sunglasses and they have just announced the arrival of their new effort for May of ‘09. The 16 designs for both men and women were inspired by 70’s American hip hop and are made by the infamous Italian eyewear producer, Marcolin. The campaign is just as white hot as the sunglasses themselves. Ace photographer Steven Meisel captured Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista basically beating the crap out of each other while looking stunningly beautiful in their high end accessories. Kudos to the boys for taking their time on this project and getting it right.
