The nails did phenomenom has gone bonkers with everyone now throwing their take on the trend into the ring. This one is sort of clever actually, coordinating a set of Marc Jacobs cashmere gloves with Nars polish. Via Temptalia images and a thorough review of one of Deborah Lippman’s holiday nail polishes, called ”Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” I wanna like this polish…it looks super fun, but I’m sort of obsessed with things being even and smooth when it comes to nail polish so this part of the review scares me a little:

“You’ll really have to move and finagle with the glitter so that it is spaced evenly across the nail. I tried to work it across and into areas where there were no glitter but still had some bunch-up.”

The bunch up thing….that would kind of drive me crazy.

Chanel is showing peeks at its nail polish colors for Spring 2012, called “April,” “May” and “June.” If anything the peachy beige has a nice fresh feel to it, the others….not so much. On its runways it showed a pearly white, which looks to be a fairly hot fashion color for Summer 2012 so perhaps we’ll see that come down the line a bit later.

I’ve said it before, the world tends to get into a tizzy about Chanel nail polish colors, but in my humble opinion the brand just doesn’t hold the clout it once did to set trends if only because there’s just so much going on in the category in terms of product above and beyond just old-fashioned nail varnish. Here are Chanel’s nail polish shades for Summer 2011. They’re part of a summer makeup collection called, “Les Fleurs d’Ete de Chanel.” The “Mimosa” yellow has received tons of press already. The other shades are cute, but hardly groundbreaking. To see the makeup in the collection visit Temptalia.

Urban Outfitters brought together singer Rye Rye and Pop Beauty for a nail polish pack, featuring three perfect colors for Spring 2011. This polish is special because it’s “nylon-infused,” and therefore doesn’t chip (believe that when I see it!). Those who purchase will also receive a promotional code for a free Rye Rye song download.

Yes, we just did a post on this collection in the last post, but so charmingly perfect were the polish offerings we thought they deserved a separate post.  So here you go. The one on the left is called “Biker Blue” featuring a black base with purple and blue pearl flecks. And the white one is called “Frayed-To-Order,” a white matte with pink pearl flecks. Would love to see how the white looks on the nail. It seems so perfect for Spring.
