 Corthay Shoes!

We leave high end men’s fashion to our stylish site- mates at Selectism, but I had to bring your attention to Corthay.

 Corthay Shoes!

Because I cannot resist a well dressed man in a pair of hot shoes I had to feature them .Corthay , a brand made in france with a long history of craftmanship  that started in the 70’s.Separates the men from the boys with footwear styles that are well crafted, creative and timeless…

 Rebeldnce...Jaime Beaucoup!!!

Rebeldnce by Maikhanh  Bertrand makes the kind of pieces any style savvy man or woman would want. The line geared to “the international travelers expressing their power through art and celebration” hints to a way of dressing based on a world  awareness .A state of mind where pieces are not inspired by trends but by their references to other places in the world, like johdpurs worn in India or a superb fringe jacket that reminds me of eskimos…

check out a few of the womens fall 08 pieces on the next page !

Mens Fashion …The Shoes!

 Mens Fashion ...The Shoes!

There is no denying that Men’s fashion is one of the most exciting categories in fashion right now. Regardless of your preffered  "steelo de hombre " men  fashion is really one to watch with more body conscious styles emerging from all the runways,It’s become harder for the style conscious male to conceal a beer belly in tailored shirts and slim legged denim…

kind of ironic when jumpsuits and slouchy clothes for women are making their way back to the forefront…

The hottest thing  for me tough  has to be the sight of some of my do-rag  3 sizes too big jeans wearing buddies, now  sporting bowties, vests and slim wingtips,( No joke) like the Ferragamo Tramezza that nearly stopped my heart…

To the cuties  that can pull these off Kudos!

outlawlead Boys Pull Up Your Pants Please!!!

Complex Magazine just Posted on their blog the "5  Fashion Trends That Should Be Outlawed".Some of them could be up for discussion but the boxer flashing, Not Cool. When I first  moved to NYC in the 90’s I have to admit that there was this sexy swagger to the guys flashing a  branded waistband a la Markie Mark ,but then my taste in fashion on men evolved. To have your pants tied closer to your knees  than your waist cannot be healthy or even safe…How pathetic do you look going up the stairs or trying to sit down? The boxer thing is ridiculous and not hot at all.I said it Boys pull your pants up! Now if you can no longer be called a boy and this is your steelo you have a whole other set of issues…

Read the whole article here P.S We  TOTALLY  DO NOT support the language they use tough…The Snobettes have to make that clear!

Gant teams up with the Sartorialist

b brian Gant teams up with the Sartorialist

One thing The Sartorialist could never be accused is his lack of consistency.Where ever he is ,Scott Schuman finds well dressed men and a few women who showcase his idea  of style and refinement.

He recently teamed up with Gant for a feature of ten New Yorkers mixing Gant apparel with their own.The women’s style was okay, lacked a wow factor and a little edge that I think can be specific to the NYC gal but, the men  for the most part were pretty sharp… check out  Luke whose never made Hunter Boots look so masculin….
