For its pre-Autumn 2013 collection, Marni presents a both feminine and functional collection what is not as easy as it sounds. With the right sense to mix menswear pieces with softer details like floral prints and some sexy metallic leathers the collection becomes perfectly wearable for all fashionable city heroines. Even the accessories are functional yet stylish seen for the double-strap boots, fringe-decorated loafers and oversized totes and clutches. Would be great to see functionality be respected by other designers, too.

The Summer 2013 Polka Dot collection has hit Marni stores worldwide offering us a beautiful selection of handbags, clutches and shoppers in straight shapes made of calf or faux leather. What makes this collection so adorable are the colored Marni signature perforated polka dots in summerly colors.

Marni’s Sculpture Bag has all the elements of a desirable bag, contemporary but yet with a  precise elegance devoid of unnecessary chichi. The bags featured a beautiful metal handle and come either in black, red, ivory, caramel or sand selectively in smooth or brushed calf leather.

H&M x Marni: a great-looking collabo, would be easy to be hypnotized by the prints alone but the fabric story is just as rich. Look for this collection in select stores on March 8th.

For those who found the sky-high levels of hype around the H&M x Versace collabo a turnoff, H&M’s upcoming collabo with Marni may be more up your alley. Based in Italy and headed up by designer Consuelo Castiglioni, the appeal of the line is its artsy aesthetic, which comes through via prints, unusual fabric combos and easy silhouettes more suitable for city daydreaming than office crunching. And judging by some of the comments on Youtube attached to the above sneak peek video, there’s already quite a bit of dismissing going on, which could mean much less crazed lines on launch day. One can dream anyway ; )
