Mara Hoffman  has always has a special place in my heart as one of the few designers whose collection never seem to reflect a particular trend. I’m sure that on closer look one might find a print or a silhouette “of the moment” but for the most part this woman does her own thing and always does it well . I have had an affinity with the Mara Hoffman label  since it was created a while back, as the  its designer Mara Hoffman, now based in Brooklyn  has an amazing ability to bring out a  very feminine sexiness to her clothes,  that is effortless , tinted with her love of art/nature, and is always  slightly exotic. Like a refined, modern version of   boho-chic. For Spring ‘09 the use of bright and soft colors, fluid silhouettes  make me want to   travel to  a sunny place far, far away.
