Showing during London Fashion Week, designer Holly Fulton chooses a mani design that is simple yet still packs punch, and just as important sets off the fashion perfectly.

Prada is having quite the lasting moment, with its recent collections receiving enviable amounts of editorial coverage and showing up on multiple covers. U.K.-based WAH nails, ever in step with the latest, pays its tribute with this perfectly executed banana manicure, featuring the print shown in the Spring 2011 collection. Well done, ladies!

Nail artist Sophy Robson brings us images of nail art by U.K. nail artist Leighton Denny (a former fork-lift truck driver!), who also heads up the Leighton Denny Nail Experts brand.  Obviously the nails here are a statement piece, but click through to see another set that are just as eye-popping and perfect for the holidays.

Valley Nails and especially nail artist Maki can easily become addictive. That’s just not me talking, I hear it all the time chatting with clients sitting in adjacent seats. While Maki was hooking me up with the two-tone manicure featured above (first spotted on Maki a couple weeks back, her “ex-nails” as she describes them), the woman next to me was talking about how she was hooked on gels. It’s like co-owner Nina Werman was saying, you can be out casually in a pair of sweats, but  flash your nails and you’re game is still completely on. Bottom line, there a lot of fun to look at. One more look at the mani after the flip.

The manicure featured above is a red Ruffian, which was shown at the Dior spring 2010 runway show. It comes from a recent Vogue Italy article on nail trends, which declares, “The rule: less square and never too long.” I’m not big on dos and don’ts, but I have to say I’ve left behind square shapes…for now anyway.

Rihanna is on the move, promoting herself and her music in Seoul, Korea. At a recent appearance she wore a very adorable Jeremy Scott snow leopard hoodie.  I like how it’s not an all-over print.  There are sections that are spot-free, similar to a real-live leopard. And while the ears are sort of cute (just sort of), I feel like I could live without the tail this top features.

On another note, have you seen her new video for “Rude Boy”? When we posted the fashion stills, a reader said it reminded her of M.I.A. And indeed, the graphics used in the video are clearly inspired by Ms. Swagger-Like-Us’ early videos.

We highlighted Rihanna’s manicure for the Grammy Awards last week, and just now I stumbled across a close-up shot. As you can see for yourself they are simply amazing. I can’t quite figure out what the art is, but it looks like some form of currency. It reminds me of a manicure I spotted on the cashier in a McDonald’s drive through a few years back. She had teeny-tiny, shredded-up dollar bills lacquared on to her tips. I almost feinted! I’m telling you, shopping may cheer a girl up, but nothing lifts a heart like glancing down at a freshly polished set of nails.

Living doll KimK recently posed for a Radar Mag photo shoot. The theme was the long ago and legendary Brooke Shield CK jeans ad campaign. In her interview with the mag, she gave the best comeback punch ever when she responded to Paris’s description of her butt as gross by panning, "If Paris Hilton thinks my butt looks gross I really don’t care. At least I have a butt." Exactly, Kim! Where did crazy Paris get off thinking that all the world loves a backless wonder?? Cheez!
