We announced the collaboration between MAC cosmetics and fashion editor extraodinaire, Carine Roitfeld back in April. Today we’re pleased to give you a closer look at the cosmetics line set to release in October 2012. The subtle palette comprises of a complete assortment of cosmetics to achieve Roitfeld’s signature smoky eye and makeup look, including kohl powder eye pencil, a brunette eyebrow pencil, a full face kit with  four  eye shadows and blush creme blend, fluidine, mascara and an eyelash kit, tropical mist lipstick, base maquillake, face and body foundations, concealer mineralize correrctor, nail polish, and brushes. Ad images for MAC Viva Glam’s second campaign with Lady Gaga are live, with a U.S. product launch date of February 17th, and  international available sometime in March. Offerings includes a nude lipstick and gloss, which most readers at Temtalia, where we found this item, are giving a thumbs up to, though there’s a big crowd that has issues with nude lipstick period, endorsed by MAC, GaGa or otherwise. Available  in a few weeks, we get a closer look at MAC Cosmetics Wonder Woman Collection, which the snobs are thoroughly enthused about.Yes we kind of like make-up, but also because every woman  needs to remember that she bears a power that makes her in more ways than one ‘”Wonder-ful”! Yes, we just did a post on this collection in the last post, but so charmingly perfect were the polish offerings we thought they deserved a separate post.  So here you go. The one on the left is called “Biker Blue” featuring a black base with purple and blue pearl flecks. And the white one is called “Frayed-To-Order,” a white matte with pink pearl flecks. Would love to see how the white looks on the nail. It seems so perfect for Spring.

MAC was inspired by the look and feel denim (including shadows embossed with denim details!) for its spring collection, titled “Jeanius,” which is indeed so genius that it leads one to wonder if this could really be the first time a major makeup company was inspired by one of the most ubiquitous fabrics on the planet. The eyeshadow, lipstick, lipgloss and nail polish are all pearl, featuring metallic flecks of copper, silver, gold, pink depending on the item. Info on composition and pricing at Temptalia. MAC cosmetics has announced their Spring store arrivals and their Sugarsweet collection is delicious. Based entirely on bake shop confections, the color palette consists of mint green, cotton candy blue, peach, and a variety of shades of pink. I highly recommend trying out some of the new lipstick shades with names like Bubbles, Sweet Thing, and Lollipop Loving it’ll be hard to resist licking your lips. Set to drop March 19th.

Mac and Hello Kitty have teamed up and created two new lines for spring. The Hello Kitty Colour collection will feature numerous new shades of lipsticks, false lashes, eye shadows, glitter eyeliner, and lots of other goodies.  The second line, Hello Kitty Kouture will feature Swarovski crystal encrusted reusable packaging. The overall look retains classic Hello Kitty qualities mimicking her sometimes sweet and often mischievous personality. So expect lots of bubble gum pinks that have been kicked up a notch with jet black and super bright turquoise, a look that feels at home both at your niece’s birthday party and stumbling out of a club at four A.M.
