This Opening Ceremony lookbook shot by Tim Barber brings to mind a quote in Elle magazine’s October issue by creative director Joe Zee, who in a story on various looks, declared, ”I’m not a big fan of the peasant top–it’s just sloppy. And boho chic is done.” And clearly OC is in agreement, showing a collection for Spring 2012 that’s clean, minimalist, largely monotone and pretty much the opposite of earthy.

Shot against the backdrop of a sleepy U.S. town whose glory days are in its past, the Jeffrey Campbell shoes featured in this Spring/Summer lookbook look right at home, inspired as they are from the vintage racks. Still, much like the always modern blue skies that fill the pictures, JC’s shoes stay current via the brand’s signature over-the-top platforms and wedges, slashing leather straps and distinct color stories. Norway-based Bjorg Jewellery has released its yearly lookbook, and according to press describing the 2011 collection:

The 2011 collection from Bjørg is in it self a journey. It’s a playful quest of a paradise lost to be recollected. Multicoloured feathers, bright blue horsehair and fluorescent opals, the beauty and fragility of a butterfly wing forever captured and kept in a small handmade glass dome. All reminiscences of that imaginary Garden of Eden.

Christian Louboutin has once again partnered with photographer Khoung Nguyen on a Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook titled “Louboutin Spring Summer Tour,” which perfectly captures the whimsy and fantasy upon which so much of the Loubie appeal is built. Via Trendland. More on the next page.

Refinery29 has the latest lookbook for The Lake & Stars Spring 2011 offerings, which is quite a departure from the eye-popping ’70s porn themes of the last lookbook. Inspired by religous cults, the latest one isn’t as fun and the budget seems lower, but oh well, better that the brand keeps it moving than dwell on the past. On this page and after the flip are straight shots of the product, whose theme remains the same–retro-naughty garments, which in many cases work as well as outerwear as lingerie, thanks to modern fabrics and details. The lookbooks may change, but the garments remain perfect for all the high IQ sex queeens who love to flaunt their stuff.  

Last week we showed a couple of items from Paul & Joe Sister’s fall line and today you get the whole lookbook. This is a great looking line, it’s 100-percent wearable but still has edge and is ever so quietly daring. The Bambi-print thermal suit featured on this page speaks to the more forward side of the line, while the outfit on the right the more everyday look side.
