A few hours ago we attended the launch for Rihanna’s River Island collection at Opening Ceremony which was also the stage for ‘Rihtrospective’ an assortment of Rihanna’s most noteworthy looks during the past seven years . Highlights included pieces designed by by Adam Selman exclusively for Rihanna and styled by Mel Ottenberg. While we’ve previewed the collection presentation a few weeks ago it was a treat to see some of Rihanna’s stage looks up close, like the pink lace dress from the Victoria’s Secret show last year, or the sexy Bob Marley dress from her SNL ‘Stay’ performance. Darlene and Lizzi Okpo created a conceptual nature  wonderland of earth, fruits and grass for their William Okpo Spring 2013 presentation. With hints of work wear,  each piece is playfully modern yet has an air of nostalgia. Navy cotton with abstract polka dots and chambray mixed with braided cord details create effortlessly cool  looks made complete with colorful  Schier shoes. A personal favorite has to be the cutout jumpsuit  above. See all the looks on the next page.
