While the idea of shorts attached to leggings can sound a little gimmicky to the Snobettes, done well the concept can be genius. In My Air, spotted at Project, definitely wins our approval with its shorts/leather leggings combo. See the silky version on the flip. Yes we luvs!

Joyrich does its usual amazing job blending street style inspired by London, Tokyo and New York. This year themes are varsity jackets and leggings, which designer David Melgar recommends pairing with a pair of pumps. The heart melts!

As a preview of the Leah McSweeney line, Married To The Mob launches a capsule collection of flowery leggings perfect for the mild winter (we are not complaining at all) we are having in NYC. See them all on the flip, all available here.

We posted yesterday about Karmaloop’s No. 1 category, dresses, and promised we would follow-up with its second-most-popular category today. And the winner for hot category No. 2 is……leggings! The top selling leggings style (shown from left to right above) for Karmaloop is Tripp NYC’s “Indigo Acid Wash” denim leggings. (It’s a look that’s not getting a lot of love from editorial, but I know from speaking to people in retail that they are hot everywhere, not just K-loop.) After Tripp, comes Married to the Mob’s “Crayon Logo” leggings, and then Kill City’s “Oh La La” leggings. Tomorrow, the third most-popular category on Karmaloop for women. I think it’seasy to guess what it is, but then again I know what it is.

What started out for Australian fashion lover James Lillis as a blog called TooManyTights, bloomed into the launch of a collection of leggings and bodysuits known as BlackMilk. This page features two of the brand’s most popular printed leggings, Space Invaders and Anatomist, but there are lots more styles on the site, including ones wrapped in chains and featuring zippers up the back (many of which are already sold out)! And then there are the body suits, all of which are all video-diva certified.

“Sometimes love comes around and then it knocks you down, just get back up when it knocks you down….sometimes luuuuuuuuuuuv comes around.” Sorry, had to take that moment, and now, HA, I know I got you singing it. “I used to be commander in chief of my pimp ship flying high!” Anyway, readers, the leggings that Keri Hilson wears in THAT video are designed by Brian Lichtenberg and are now exclusively available at Karmaloop. “This is bad, real bad, Michael Jackson!”

Clearly we are seeing the rise from the ashes of the catsuit, an always controversial fashion classic. Still, a lot of websites are saying that Lil’ Kim, who’s been promoting her appearance on “Dancing with the Stars” like crazy, is wearing a catsuit in this image and I’m not so sure. It just might be a black blouse tucked into high-waisted leggings. Whatever it is, Kim looks just adorable and as cheery as I’ve seen her in a while.

More of the first M.O.B. cut-and-sewn collection is now hitting stores. Just now Cultist sent over some images of M.O.B.’s fresh fall collection, which includes leggings, cropped bomber jackets and tees. Don’t nap, huns, because the stuff you like the most? Everyone else does, too, and before you know it, it’ll be gone, baby, gone.

^^Nobody does it better, makes me feel sad for the rest…
See how this bomber looks on the inside on the other side. Hint: The lining isn’t black.

There’s a bunch of delish new items at Oak (though I’m torn by the studded mocassins<—what??), in particular the offerings from Cavern. Take a look at these neat-o leggings, which are grown-up without being soccer-mom-from-the-80s-ish, i.e. they’re sexy as all get out.

There’s a scarf by Cavern on the other side….

In looking around at everyone’s coverage of NY Fashion Week, I stumbled across fashion photographer Sonny’s coverage of the Rodarte show. And all I could think was, wow, how’d I miss this?? The shoes, the leggings(!), the dresses(!!). I mean, you know how sometimes you see something and your eye feels a little startled and you get that butterfly feeling of excitement ’cause you know you’re seeing something that is a glimpse of what’s next? That’s how Rodarte’s collection felt. And their leggings? Everyone else’s just officially got left in the dust.

^^Talk about mean and vicious!
Some white ones after the flip.
