Here are some early images from Lanvin’s Spring/Summer ad campaign….we think anyway, as there isn’t a lot of accompanying info in terms of models or photographer. In any case, the images are gorgeous and have a neat vintage feel to them that speaks to the 70s period that inspired the fashion. Adore the wolves and other wild beasts used in the imagery for Lanvin’s Pre-Autumn 2011 collection, plus the line features velvet–the new “it” fabric, however, Lanvin and we are still fighting over its affair with H&M. Yes it was exiting and glittzy and fun while it lasted, but oh at what cost to the heart.

Japanese boutique Openers has just landed a mini-holiday gift collection from luxury brand-of-the-moment, Lanvin, including a clutch (above), tote, flats and a pin. The colleciton is super chic with a touch of whimsy, a combination which has become the label’s calling card. The rest of the collection on the next page.

We’ve already provided images from the runway, now watch the video and get a feel for how fun and fabulous the H&M Lanvin “Haute Couture” show was. If nothing else, perhaps this collaboration will put some fun and life back on the runway.

Lanvin and H&M presented a high-end version of the collection that will soon appear in the chain’s doors. Taking place at the Pierre Hotel,  runway models included Asia Chow, Pixie Geldof, Dree Hemingway, Olga and Anna Dello Russo. Alber Elbaz, too, was there to give a wave at the end of the show. Blake Lively dressed in Lanvin for the Spike TV Scream Awards in Los Angeles this past weekend and looked quite amazing in an outfit that was an almost exact copy (the runway featured a beige bodysuit) of a look shown on the label’s recent Spring 2011 runway show. The claim is that Lively doesn’t use a stylist, though she certainly has a level of access beyond virtually everyone on the planet. Style announced last week it was planning a tee-shirt collabo with some of the industry’s hottest designers to celebrate its 10 years in the business. The tees still aren’t on sale yet, but Fashionista got some sneak peeks of the designs from Lanvin, Alex Wang, Givenchy (above), Proenza Schouler and Balmain, with the common design theme being a Roman numeral 10. Priced at $45, the entire collection will go on sale at Style.com’s mobile pop-up shop in Madison Square Park on September 15, and on the site September 16.
