Lady Gaga as of late has been having a lot of fun showing off her stiletto-shaped nails, featuring lots of flashy art. For her latest single, “Judas,” her creative side kick, Nicola Formichetti, featured images pulled from the video on his site, crediting all the labels and stylists. Her chain-drenched nails shown above are by nail artist Aya Fukuda, who recently conducted an interview with Bellasugar on her work with Lady Gaga.

An image recently surfaced of Lady Gaga getting her “Born This Way” tattoo at Becca Roach’s studio in New York. She got the tattoo last fall so it’s not new art. You can’t see it in this pic but the original tattoo is a unicorn, who–like all magical creatures of his ilk–was born with a big horn coming out of the middle of his handsome forehead. Close ups on the tat on the next page.
(And honestly, I didn’t realize this was an old tat until I was halfway through the post and had I know that from the start I wouldn’t have posted such moldy news, but then again, the pic of her getting it is new and a lot of you love Gaga so…..a little prezzy for the fans.)
Lady Gaga presents “Gagavision” No. 43, discussing the creative process behind her recent singles “Judas” and “Born This Way.” She also does a lot of flashing of her ruby red, talon manicure, which, if somehow she gets credited for being the one who “discovered” this shape, we’re going to be fighting. Gaga may be its biggest celebrity launchpad, but the talon shape has been around for more than a minute before she started sporting it.
The Lady Gaga publicity machine is starting to heat up in advance of her album launch. Now she’s on the cover of music magazine NME, accompanied by an interview titled “Freak or Fraud.” According to the teaser info for the article, “she opens up, spits out abuse, and even bursts into tears…”
Lady Gaga has released the art for her upcoming album, “Born This Way,” which will be released May 23rd. Given her team’s ability to execute with almost machine-like precision, this imagery very accurately reflects how Gaga is projecting herself to the world these days.
Lady Gaga is photographed by Terry Richardson on the cover Bazaar magazine’s May issue, which includes a editorial feature as well. In this particular interview Gaga goes more out there then she normally does, claiming her facial horns are real and that Alexander McQueen began working through her after his suicide. And then, too, as of late she seems to be irritated by other pop stars, slagging off those who use don’t sing live in a recent interview, and in her Bazaar interview, she dismisses pop singers who her opinion promote insecurities by having plastic surgery (which she claims to have never had). Here is the paragraph on McQueen:
“I think [McQueen] planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote ‘Born This Way.’ I think he’s up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.” Supporting Gaga’s claim was the decision by the label–not Gaga herself–to move up the release date for “Born This Way,” ultimately to the exact day of the one-year anniversary of McQueen’s death. “When I heard that, I knew he planned the whole damn thing. I didn’t even write the fucking song. He did!”
Lady Gaga is set to begin a monthly column for V magazine, and as part of the deal she requested that it be accomanpanied by an illustration of her as drawn by the winner of a contest, held for each edition. For the first issue, the deadline is April 3rd. Art should be sent to drawnthisway@vmagazine.com. Of course we encourage you to try–good luck if you do!
Lady Gaga vists with Google, where she is interviewed by Google’s Vice President of Consumer Affairs, Marissa Mayer and takes questions from fans in the audience and on video. The presentation starts with a statistical analysis of Lady Gaga’s presence on Google, which is impressive to say the least.
We showed Lady Gaga on the cover of i-D last week, and now the editorial. Her hair and makeup is very neat…check out close-ups on the next page. Via Thecut.
