Lady Gaga Cover Of Rolling Stone

Lady Gaga is on the cover of Rolling Stone’s July double issue magazine. According to her stylist, Nicola Formichetti, Gaga is wearing a custom bra by David Samuel Menkes and her shoes (image next page) are by Noritaka Tatehana. Judging from excerpts from this interview and other recent ones, Gaga is very much obsessed with how her fans perceive her these days, and according to the article, “‘If I were to ever, God forbid, get hurt onstage and my fans were screaming outside of the hospital, waiting for me to come out, I’d come out as Gaga,’ she says, adding that she models her celebrity on Michael Jackson.” What’s interesting is her focus on how she presents as a celebrity–very Warholesque, but not so much Michael, who, one could argue was as much a victim of his own celebrity as a beneficiary.
