We’re excited about Jeffrey Campbell’s foray into handbags. It’s going to be fun to see how the brand extends its creativity and cache to the  category. The first collection is called “Girls We Hated In High School” and we think the mini bags featured on this page are the standout, though there’s plenty else to like for those of you who want a bag capable of providing your stuff with a little more breathing room. All of them just arrived at Karmaloop, which also will be on the receiving end of some exclusive JC bags soon.

Joyrich has teamed up with Keith Haring on a capsule collection of bikinis, which will launch in late Spring. The collaboration will include two patterns: “Men And Dogs” and “Stars And Stripes,” which you see on the next page.

Both items will be available from our friends at Karmaloop, which by the way, we’re told, is launching a monthly site-wide scavenger hunt. It’s called “Peep Show” and when you find the hidden item, send an email detailing what it is and a winner will be randomly picked from entrants. This month’s item is now up–check here for more details.

Just peeped at Claw’s site that she has a super neat “Hollywood” pillow, now retailing at Karmaloop. Natch, it’s the famous claw, featuring screens of retro-looking head shots of actors and actresses……”strike a pose there’s nothing to it!”

If you were paying attention to spring 2010 collections, you know clogs were viewed as a breakout trend. However, there seems to be a fair amount of trepidation in approaching this trend, like folks aren’t altogether convinced. Part of the problem is that clogs a la Ecco have never gone away and are pretty much the opposite of fashion. These Seychelle clogs are appealing because the design is fresh feeling, plus, given that they feature a wooden heel (and none of the heinous staples that I despise with all my heart) and are priced at $96, they’re pretty a good bet for making a committment that won’t break your heart if it doesn’t work out.

We started a series of posts last week on Karmaloop’s top three selling categories for spring. First up was dresses, then leggings, and now we bring you the third-hottest category, tops.  From the left: Dimepiece’s ‘Love Bills,’ top; BB Dakota’s ‘Baretta‘ lace top; and Quicksilver’s ‘Sound Check’ shirt. I live the Quicksilver one the best. After all, I’ve known for a loooong time that love don’t pay the bills simply because I DO and I like it that way!
