The rumors preceded the launch by half a year, but finally we have the first Vogue Netherlands beginning with an April issue. Karin Swerink is the editor and the three models on the cover are Dutch girls Ymre Stiekema, Josefien Rodermans and Romee Strijd (we guessed Lara Stone would land the first cover…we were wrong!) and the headline translates to “Number One In The Netherlands.”

We’re strictly in the big-fat-rumor stage but chat on the street is that a Dutch version of Vogue is in the making. Karin Swerink (her Twitter image above), who is currently the editor for Dutch Glamour, is being mentioned as the likely editor. Fueling the speculation are already-announced plans for Swerink to leave her post at Glamour (to be filled by Sabine Geurtson) on November 1st. And while this news is not part of the “official” gossip, given her Dutch heritage and superstar status, one would be hard pressed to guess someone other than Lara Stone landing the cover.
