Berlin Fashion Week was opened by the show of designer Hien Le. The Who is Who of the Berlin-based blogger and editor community came together to marvel at the Autumn/Winter 2013/14 collection inspired by artist Mark Rotkho – classified as abstract expressionist. Pretty vibrant colors merged with soft off-white pieces, as seen for the opening dress, and roughly knitted sweaters were combined with flattering chinos. One of Berlin’s upcoming young designers, Laos-born Hien Le, showed his debut collection for Spring 2011 during Berlin Fashion Week in Summer 2010, an effort that earned him the title of “Best Newcomer” by Sportswear International magazine. So for those of you who haven’t caught wind of him, have a look at his fashion genius as presented in his beautiful collection for Spring 2013.

For the collection Le took inspiration from the style-setting tv series Miami Vice, with an overall look that is clean and and harmonious with a pastel-colored palette set off by Miami-friendly flamingo prints.
