Jeffrey Fashion Cares New York  kicked off the annual fundraising event celebration last night at the Jeffrey’s New York boutique.  Co-Sponsored by Harpers Bazaar the atmosphere was filled with good vibes, beautiful apparel and a surprise visit by current rap sensation A$ap Rocky of Asap Mob.  Scheduled for March 26th, the fundraiser serves as a great example of fashion powerhorses uniting to support to organizations benifiting  HIV aids patients as well as various programs for the  LGBTQ community. The legendary Madonna with Andrea Riseborough is on the cover of Harper Bazaar’s December issue (see a second version on th next page). Inside she’s interviewed by Naomi Wolf and speaks about some of her favorite topics–money, power & respect and their impact on women. Riseborough is the star of a movie, W.E., which Madonna directed and is now promoting. The following are some key quotes from the article:

“For some reason, I feel like I never left high school, because I still feel that if you don’t fit in, you’re going to get your ass kicked. That hasn’t really changed for me. I’ve always been acutely aware of differences and the way you are supposed to act if you want to be popular.

 ”I’ve consistently come up against resistance in certain areas. I think that the world is not comfortable with female sexuality. It’s always coming from a male point of view, and a woman is being objectified by a man — and even women are comfortable with that. But when a woman does it, ironically, women are uncomfortable with it. I think a lot of that has to do with conditioning.”

Harpers Bazaar created a renunion of the ’90s supermodels for its December cover, reflecting a growing trend among magazines to show models more love. From left above are Yasmin Le Bon, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Eva Herzigova, who are all wearing Dolce & Gabbana corsetts and are photographed by Jonas Akerlund.

The cover is part of a push for the upcoming launch of a Duran Duran video for the single “Girl Panic.” The song has been out since December 2010, but we’re hearing the video featuring all of the above models and directed by Akerlund will be released within the next two weeks or so.

Send us to the principal’s office for we are late on this–as of noon today just about every website in the world had posted these images of Beyonce on the cover of Bazaar. I think it’s because she talks a bunch about her pregnancy and her husband in the article. On that note, been hearing people chat that Beyonce is somehow faking this pregnancy based on one possibly doctored image, which flat out strikes me as nutzo. Sorry I have luv for the conspriracy people in general but nope, on this one I just can’t.

Fashion magazine Bazaar has compiled its best magazine covers and put them in a hybrid book/magazine called “Bookazine.” Priced at $12.95, the issue includes “iconic covers from 1867 to 2011.” According to press, it will be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble, starting tomorrow.

Iman, as  iconic as she is, in my opinion gets too little shine. The 55-year old model graces the pages of  Harper’s Bazaar’s December 2010  issue showing not only her star power, but glamour like it’s rarely done nowadays.
