Grace Jones’  first album in 22 years, titled “Hurricane”  (first released in 2008) will be re -released in a dub version remixed by Ivor Guest, available  in early September. We had to share the stunning cover  styled by the legendary Jean Paul Goude. The album is available for pre-order here.

Miss Gaga is peforming these days in Tokyo, a tour sponsored by Mac Viva Glam. I have the feeling that folks there are just ga-ga over her. I am sure I am basing this on stupid stereotypes I hold attributable to nothing more than an interaction here and there, but I have this sense that her love of pageantry might be more compelling to her Japanese fanbase. And btw, have you all seen how Grace Jones slammed GaGa for being a cheap imitation? All I gotta say is, was that really necessary? A little grace, Ms. Jones.

Italian Vogue is featuring a fun video with Grace Jones, who explains how she is “style not fashion,” meaning she has a specific look she goes for and it doesn’t change with the runways. So however hot a trend may be if it’s not her style, she keeps it moving. (I just noticed this is from the February issue, but oh well, missed it then and maybe you did, too.)

I’m surprised that the appearance of Grace Jones  for fashion week did  not create more of a buzz?  The edgy diva  walked the runway  wearing Xuly Bet in a presentation for Arise Magazine. Seriously the woman is an Icon  Lady Gaga agrees !
