General Idea’s Spring 2012 collection speaks to designer Bumsuk Choi’s skill at mixing color, patterns and textures. Inspired by “les garcons sur la plage” (boys on the beach), the collection is anchored by nautical stripes and  color blocking, giving new life to items like the knitted shorts above, which we would gladly borrow. To what was an amazing musical beat  Bumsuk Choipresented his General Idea  Autumn/ Winter 2010 collection. Yes it’s a men’s label but if you’re a woman who appreciates men’s fashion  like yours truly you can see the sleek androgynous flair of this label. Well tailored jackets , slouchy sweaters, harem pants, cool tiger print boots and much more. Not only does general Idea  make of some of the coolest menswear but the show also brings a very eclectic stylish crowd that can bring out the inner Tommy Ton in all of us. I happily got  a glimpse of   the illustrious Bill Cunningham on his bicycle heading to his next destination.
