Fat Monkey Sculpture Created From 10,000 Flip-Flops

Monkey down! To publicize Pixelshow’s October 2010 conference in San Paolo, Brazil, the organization had local students construct a sleeping monkey out of 10,000 of Brazil’s most iconic shoe, the flip-flop, used to simulate pixels. Designed by urban artist Florentijn Hofman, the sculpture has since become known as Fat Monkey, aka Macaco Gordo. Via Fokis. More fallen monkey images after the flip.
