Documenting the views of the world’s leading and emerging avant-garde talents, digital interview magazine The Avant/Garde Diaries publishes very beautiful short films on a weekly basis.

The latest video interview features forward-thinking designer Susan Dimasi and her collaborator, choreographer and dancer Shelley Lasica. The video is a beautiful, quiet mediation on fashion, craft, and femininity. Under the theme “The New Beauty,” we see a women who is sure of herself and does not need external validationis. A refreshing piece!

With its “I’ll be your mirror” lookbook, Japanese brand Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, mostly known for it’s very detail-orientated and high-quality garments, has proven that it not only knows how to play with classic American menswear, but also that its womenswear offerings are worth paying heed to. It’s great how the label combines different elements to create fresh looks, all very modern but not overly sleek. I really fell in love with the varsity jacket, combined with a simple blue shirt and classic black trousers.

The French brand A.P.C. just launched its Fall/Winter 2012 Women’s collection. As usual, the collection is dominated by minimalist designs, clean lines and simple patterns. This Fall the A.P.C. typical characteristics of military garments are endorsed with fake fur and leopard print pieces. The Fall 2012 collection is available from today in A.P.C. stores and online at APC.fr.

With her Autumn Winter 2012 accessory collection, Simone Rocha once again demonstrates her technical skills, bridging masculine and feminine influences to perfection. Especially in the current shoe collection, we can see how she uses minimalism to create her very own style. With neon, leopard and mirror leather accents she makes the famous “Perspex” brogue an absolute must-have this season.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on her, for sure!

Chloe Sevigny is once again the face of Miu Miu’s ad campaign for Autumn/Winter 2012-2013. Sixteen years after her first appearance as the brand’s muse, she looks more mature and better than ever. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, she is seen in a gallery of 70s-inspired portraits, wearing printed trousers and sipping tea. We already gave a preview, here is now the full campaign.

Twenty-six-year old singer and song writer Lana del Rey is the new global face for H&M’s Autumn/Winter collection 2012. The first two images released, shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, show her wearing a pale pink angora blend sweater, leather jeans and big hair, reminding strongly of a young Piscilla Presley. For the campaign Ms. Del Rey also performed a cover of “Blue Velvet” embedded in a minifilm that will be released on HM.com on September 19. We will keep you posted.

Stussy is pleased to present the Stussy Womens Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook shot and directed by photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis. New York native Jarvis, who has spent the last five years living between Los Angeles and London, gives us a behind the scenes look infused with a hyper-real summer day. The mood was inspired by movement, colors and textures that capture the essence of Stussy and Southern California.
