Paul & Joe Sister: Fall 2010 Lookbook

P&JSisFront

Last week we showed a couple of items from Paul & Joe Sister’s fall line and today you get the whole lookbook. This is a great looking line, it’s 100-percent wearable but still has edge and is ever so quietly daring. The Bambi-print thermal suit featured on this page speaks to the more forward side of the line, while the outfit on the right the more everyday look side.

The rest of the book on the other side.

Reebok Freestyle Divinity Greek Pack

Reebok-Divinity Greek-Pack Fall-Winter 2010-3

The other day we talked about how Reebok is making a comeback on the strength of its toning shoe, Easy Tone. Here we have new colorations via Provider magazine on Reebok’s Freestyle, the mother of all women’s fitness shoes, originally launched in the early ’80s. Will the hotness of the Easy Tone be enough to pour new life into its other designs? It’s too soo too say though these colors are about as strong as I’ve ever seen Reebok come up with for the Freestyle.

There are three colorways: Medusa, Callisto and Athena, which hit retail for fall 2010 . See them all on the next page.

Viktor & Rolf Fall 2010 Runway Show: Crazy!

12 March 2010, 22.14 | Posted in Runway Show | No comments »

Here’s video of the Viktor & Rolf  Fall 2010 runway show, which took place in Paris a few days back. The show was entitled ‘Glamour Factory,” and according to Wallpaper, the show opened with model Kristen McMenamy dressed in 23 (!!) layers. The designers then undressed Kristen and put the garments on other models until Kristen was completely undressed. They then reversed the process and relayered her until she was back to her original multi-layered outfit. Crazy dramatic. And yep, the clothes themselves backed up all the pageantry. The one issue is that V & R staged a similar show back in 1999. Of course that was before fashion’s every move was documeted on the internet so I could see how they think it was worthy of a redo.

Paul & Joe Sister: Fall 2010

Took a trip to Manhattan yesterday to take a look at the  Paul & Joe Sister Fall 2010 collection. Designed by Paul & Joe founder Sophi Albou, the line for fall is as whimsical as ever but there’s a certain edge about it that keeps the designs looking more wryly adult than exhuberant teen.

Check out an adorable dress featuring a Bambi print after the flip.

Asics Onitsuko Tiger: Fall 2010

AsicsOTPuff Asics Onitsuko Tiger: Fall 2010

In our visit to the Asics showroom last week, we got to preview fall 2010. The Tokidoki collabo wasn’t available to be shown yet (apparently there were some delays in putting it together aand it will launch for holiday), but we liked what we saw from the Onitsuko Tiger and Asics lifestyle collection. This page features an OT puffy boot, which will go on sale in July or so. After the flip, there are a ton more trainers, using some very slick fabrications and colors (I liked the grey, Samia perferred the purple.)

Balenciaga Fall 2010 RTW: Block Heel Shoes

Balenciaga Fall 2010 RTW: Block Heel Shoes

Balenciaga, the label loved by design fanatics just showed its Fall 2010 ready-to-wear collection and what stood out above all else was the color pallette. The shoes featured above should give you a very good feel for the predominant color themes of the collection. Me personally I have never lusted for the big B. I feel likes it’s over my head. As such, I’m not going to annoy the Balenciaga fans with my lackluster comments about the above shoes (images from Style). Perhaps my partner will chime in….

Gucci Fall 2010

 Gucci Fall 2010

There are two faces to Gucci, the Northern-influenced side, which is classic and quietly rich, and the Southern side, which is flashier and more ostentatious. The fall 2010 collection, probably influenced by the shakey economy, is definitely leaning toward its Northern roots. That is a bummer for me because I like when my labels flaunt themselves with not an ounce of shame. Not that Gucci has completely vanquished its flashy looks to the storage bins. You can still buy the iconic red and green stripe and interlocking Gs in spades on the website (which probably outsells the logo-less items 100-1).

JakJillrodartekirkwood3 Rodarte X Nicholas Kirkwood Shoes Fall 2010

We posted up images of glowy shoes, featured in the Rodarte runway show. Today Tommy Ton posted these on his Jak & Jil blog. They’re not glowing in this image, but they are obviously the same shoes featured in the show. And now that I can see them shot in the light, they’re clearly not just glowy, but also melty!

One more in a lilac colorway after the flip.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010: The Shoes!

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010: The Shoes!

Those Burberry coats that I love oh so much were mostly worn overy filmy, body-loving dresses, paired with over-the-knee snakeskin boots. They were perfect, but the ones we will see over and over in editorial shoots will be the boots featured here. Editors already have had their fill with over the knee and the sheepskin lining combined with the strappy buckles are just the sort of look they can evision themselves being photographed in while taking the walk form the limo to the front row.

All images Style. Those over-the-knee boots and some handbags, plus a close-up on an extra-extra lace blouse after the flip.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010: The Coats!!!!!!!!!!

BurCoatFront Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010: The Coats!!!!!!!!!!

Earlier this morning Samia posted up images from the 3-D New York presentation of Burberry’s Fall 2010 collection we attended, and between now and the end of the day, don’t mind me if every thing I post is Burberry-related. The collection was that good. Seriously. The outerwear was my favorte part of the show and the brand gets big props for capitalizing on the excitement shows generate by taking the innovative step of making the collection available for purchase on its site through February 26th. Look at that, the company itself benefiting by showing its goods six months in advance rather than the copiers–perhaps there’s hope for the fashion industry after all!

Many more images–all from Style–of the coats after the flip.
