Fall 2008 marks the continuation Of Lanie Alabanza Barcena’s Hellz Bellz as one of the main contenders in the female streetwear world.Consistent look,funky and versatile pieces with a  don’t mess with me edge that  we love!

In the world of women’s kicks, there are two brands that are currently killing it. One of them is The Big Swooshy and the other is Creative Rec. A couple years back I was hearing from local BK sneakers stores that Creative’s women’s product was selling back to the wall and judging by the looks of what the brand is serving up for holiday their roll will continue:

^^Plenty of flair, but still classy

^^More head-turning slickness for your tootsies

On an altogether different note, while we were at the Creative Rec showroom, me, Samia and Creative Rec p.r. champ Carrie had a fun chat about how the major fashion mags basically shun the whole concept of chicks in kicks. And all I can say is that even as their circulation numbers drop through the floor, I hope they stay stupid ’cause it only means more readers for us!

I have been a fan of Monica Botkier’s like Botkier since she introduced the Trigger bag (pic after the Jump)a while back.For Fall 08 we see the expansion of her shoe line as well as  great bag silhouettes…Great stuff!

Operations NYC ,for Fall 08 continues to feature sharp tailoring and  vintage army/workwear inspired styles for men and women, as I always said true design or innovation sometimes lies in the little things, like the blue lining inside this Collar…It’s like wearing a piece of History with a modern twist…Check out more of my fave looks after the jump  HighSnobette@hotmail.com.

We weren’t allowed to photograph any of the pieces in MadeMe’s fall 2008 collection, but we managed to snap a glimpse of the collection just to give all the fans a taste:

^^Updated versions of the leather jackets will be back (Did you know that Alicia Keyes wore one in her “Like You’ll Never See Me Again” video?), along with some flannel tops. The line also includes a James Blagdon collabo. According to Shana, the line is tres French-inspired!

With the U.S. economy being half a mess and everone feeling all cautious, it’s not surprising that the runways are pulling back, too (Alexander McQueen’s wealthy-lil-Goth girl show excepted). As such, we’ve been looking, readers, trust me, and we haven’t seen a whole lot from the fall 2008 runways to write about. Sure, the clothes being shown on the French runways are GORGEOUS, but that’s nothing new. This time around the inspiration is all in the details, case in point Chanel:

^^Not sure how I feel about the raincoat, but the two-tone stockings are kick-ass and the way they match up with the shoes is what makes the Chanel name such a hot property on Canal Street.

^^Textured stockings are probably gonna be a big deal this fall, but I just like how arresting this shot is–everything is black but the play of texture, tone and proportion make it amazing.

^^I’m into clutches these days and I like how this one adds some dash to the collection
