Vogue Italia ‘Black Allure’ February 2011(Complete Look)
Vogue in other countries seems to always get it right. Not to diss American fashion or creativity but there seems to be a deliberate lack of awareness in some of the editorial choices made by many publications that honestly leave us baffled. This is not even about the inclusion of more black models but about the adequate representation of a country known for its diversity. We understand the aesthetic choices of a Vanessa Beecroft art piece for example, but is fashion not for all? Fortunately the Snobette universe reads more like a multi cultural United Colors Benetton ad from the 80s, and we would not have it any other way. Enjoy Vogue Italia’s “Black Allure,” styled by Edward Enninful, photographed by Emma Summerton in what looks like New York City’s Hiro Ballroom.
