The Spring 2012 collaborative  collection between Ghana based Osei-Duro and our beloved Complexgeometries has landed in-store. As a preview we had to share one of our favorite pieces, the’ Box Tank’ in silk with  traditional batik hand printing.

The first installment of Complexgeometries ‘The Light” Spring/Summer 2012 collection have arrived. The new collection sees the introduction of a new color called plasma, bringing a sense of brightness and optimism just like light. Been a little obsessed with complexgeometries ‘Breach’ sweater. Soft merino wool, extra long sleeves, raw edges and a slit that is too on point for words. Get it.

Staged in the Westside Gentlemen’s Club, Clayton Evans presented his  Complexgeometries Autumn/Winter 2011 collection this past Friday, with a theme of sheer textures, cozy knits with a peek of shine here and there. Enjoy our images on the flip and a complete look here. 

 Complexgeometries by Clayton Evans, a longtime favorite since 2007  has been consistently develloping his brand aesthetic while staying true to his’ look’.Over the years we’ve seen clear inspirations and copies, proving that nothing beats the original. One of my personal favorites, complexgeometries announces the release of their autumn/winter 2010 collectiin titled” In search of Truth”. The collection marks  a more in depth exploration of shapes  silhouettes and textures  with the inclusion of  silks and wool.”Drawing inspiration from the archetypes of mythology and the shrouded garb of religious ceremony, the pieces evoke a sense of devout awe and cabalistic splendor. In keeping with complexgeometries’s continued fascination with the dissembling that is intrinsic to fashion, “in search of truth” features looks that both conceal and reveal”. There are very few  edgy /conceptual labels  that I can admire and want to wear every single piece of. One of those has always been fellow Canadian, Clayton Evan’s Complexgeometries. For Spring/Summer 2010 the line continues to evolve in shapes and construction , with the addition of new color elements like gold and silver and a heightened sense of drama . I fell for Clayton Evans’  Complexgeometries about 3 years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. Over the years the line has evolved , featuring more shapes and hues,  but stays true to the modern  aesthetic that allows the wearer to create their own look.

“…between good and evil..,”  the theme of  Complexgeometries  Autumn /Winter 2009 collection,  presents the conflict of good and evil, the moral dilemmas of right or wrong and the  grey areas in between with  apparel that has no clear front or back .
