Very much in step with this season’s love affair with stripes, Chanel offers a “Petit Shopping” bag, as part of a The Away Project, a shop in shop organized by Nike and Colette in an effort to celebrate France’s national soccer team, which is sponsored by Nike. Other labels in on the stripiness include Comme des Garçons, Hermès, Ladurée, Longchamp, MontBlanc, Swatch, Trousselier and Yves Saint Laurent.

Fafi has created a touching pencil drawing titled “We Love Japan,” as part of a fundraising effort done in collaboration with Colette to help Japan recover from its disaster. One hundred percent of funds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Colette launched its pop-up shop with Colette last week and we noticed that among planned events was an appearance by artist Fafi to customize Chanel bags. As delightful a match as Chanel and Colette are, adding artist Fafi to the mix is liking adding hot fudge to the sundae so of course Highsnobiety was on hand to document the event. Images from Colette’s pop-up Chanel store are starting to show up, starting with our very own HighSnobiety, which visited the store yesterday. This images shows a bag customized by artist Kevin Lyons, who was making an appearance at the store at the time of HS’s visit.  On the next page, an image from Stylebubble, which details planned activities for the next week, including handbag customization by Fafi (!!) and two different nails bars (!!!). In addition to the collabo with Opening Ceremony, Rodarte’s Spring 2011 runway looks are now showing up at retail. This dress is available at Colette. We were mixed on the collection (thought it was a little too inspired by the red woods–as in way too stiff feeling), but did think the blue-patterned chiffon dresses were the standout items and we’ve noticed that has been the general conclusion among magazine editors and retailers as well.  See two more looks on the next page.)

For all you Black Swan fan lovers who come to the film via its association with Rodarte, you can now buy a souvenir tee shirt done in collaboration with Lula magazine. Whether it’s capable of soothing the anger over the Mulleavy sisters being double snubbed for their contributions to the movie is quote another story.Via Colette.
